Isometric Symbol Font - Building the Character Set - page 2

Step 04
Select the top ellipse and then use the trim from the Shaping Docker.

Select both objects and combine them (Ctrl+L).

Copy the cylinder to page 5, Symbol #037, and paste.

Step 05
Break apart (Ctrl+K) the cylinder.

Duplicate (Ctrl+D) the top ellipse and apply a 50 percent reduction using the Property Bar. If you place duplicates was set at 0.00 x 0.00 the smaller ellipse should be centered on the bigger one. If it is not then do so now.

Select all three components and combine them (Ctrl+L). You now have a cylinder with a hole in it.

Step 06
The next step is to do the same thing we did with the ellipse with a square.

Go to page 6, Symbol #038 and create a square. Convert it to an isometric front by applying an 86.6 percent horizontal stretch and a -30.00-degree vertical skew. Size to fit the Guidelines (8.00 inches high) and center on the page.
