Creating an Isometric Hardware Symbol Library - page 7
Step 19
Create the shanks by breaking the nodes at the widest points of the ellipse and extending the lines as shown. Be sure that the completed shapes are closed objects. Sheet metal screws do not generally have much of a shank so these will be our only versions.
Step 20
Duplicate both stacks three times and use the node edit tool to extend the shanks as shown.
Now you have short, medium, long and very long shank stacks.
Step 21
Duplicate the original stacks and move off to the side.
Move the shanks apart and duplicate the 3 regular threads and snap them into place.
Snap the shanks back into place for our medium thread version.
Duplicate both medium stacks.
Move the shanks apart and duplicate the 3 regular threads and snap them into place.
Snap the shanks back into place for our long thread versions.
Repeat the process to create the very long versions.
In the next tutorial we will develop heads to put on these threads.

All of these symbols are included in our Tech Drawing Tools
