Step 04 Select the hex and with the Node Edit Tool convert all of the segments to curved lines and smooth a bit. Use the Shaping Docker to trim the overlap from the hex. Resize the ellipse so it just touches the edges as shown. Combine all of these objects (Ctrl+L) together, dupe and set aside. |

Step 05 Create a rectangle 0.75 inches wide by 4.75 inches high and position horizontally centered and vertically as shown. Set a copy of this rectangle aside for later use. Break apart (Ctrl+K) the hex. Trim the rectangle from the ellipse, top hex shape and original square. Dupe the rectangle and resize it to fit as shown by the red rectangle. Move the new rectangle and snap into position as shown by the blue rectangle. Finish by snapping the original rectangle into place. Move the small rectangle off to the side. Combine all of these objects (Ctrl+L) together and set aside. |

Step 06 This slotted hex head requires a view looking down. Dupe the hex head again and get the little rectangle. Center and position the rectangle and trim it from the hex head. Delete the trimming rectangle and combine (Ctrl+L) the rest. |
