Step 07 To create the cross recessed head create a rectangle 1.00 inches wide by 5.375 inches high. Rotate 45 degrees, dupe and apply a horizontal mirror. Weld the result together and apply a 57.3 percent vertical stretch. Dupe the hex head again and break apart (Ctrl+K). Center the cross horizontally and vertically on the ellipse. Create the shapes shown with the colored fills making sure they are snapped into place and that there is no overlap. Dupe the completed cross and set aside. Combine everything together (Ctrl+L). |

Step 08 Dupe the plain hex you set aside in Step 02 and move to a new area. Dupe the hex head again move to the new spot and break apart (Ctrl+K). Center the hex horizontally and vertically on the ellipse and resize to a 4.00 inches horizontal dimension with the lock on. Dupe the hex in place and delete the two outside nodes with the node edit tool. Grab the completed socket, dupe and set aside. Combine everything else together (Ctrl+L). |

Step 09 The Cap Head Dupe the master ellipse and go to a new area. Dupe this ellipse and move it up 3.50 inches using the Property Bar. Dupe another ellipse and reduce it 85 percent and center it at the top of the larger ellipse. Break the outside nodes of the bottom ellipse with the Node Edit Tool, break apart (Ctrl+K) and delete the upper portion. Extend the lines as shown making sure the object is closed and that the vertical segments are snapped to the upper outside nodes. Trim the overlap using the Shaping Docker. Dupe the result and set aside. Get the rectangle you set aside in Step 05 change the height to 5.00 inches and center and position as shown. Trim the rectangle from the three objects to create the slot. Use the same procedure used in Step 05 to create the completed head. Combine all of these objects (Ctrl+L) together and set aside. |
