The easiest way to make this work is to draw a 0.25 inch long horizontal line and then use the Node edit Tool to Marquee select both nodes and use the Node Edit Roll-up to add a node. Use the Transform Roll-up to rotate a duplicate of the line 90 degrees. Select both lines and group them together. Now duplicate the group and change the position on the Property bar to agree with the table. Remember that Station is the x dimension and the y is the Water line.
We will be working on ribs (for the wings) in the next tutorial so let’s draw the stabilizers as a solid objects. To create the vertical stabilizer we will restart the station/water lines at 0.00 x 0.00 so we can easily use CorelDRAW’s position features. You will need to plot the following points: Note: I developed these positions by scaling them from a printed orthographic of the aircraft.

step19.jpg (6442 bytes) Turn on Snap to Objects. Select the straight line pencil tool (F5) and draw a line through the center points of the "plus signs". Complete the shape by drawing a line from the last point to the first point. Use the Node Edit Tool and Node Edit Roll-up to convert to curves and smooth the line as shown by the red line. The point 6 node is at the top of the curve – make sure the handles are horizontal.
step20.jpg (6408 bytes) Next use the same method to plot the line we will use to cut away the rudder: Note; the first and last points extend beyond the vertical stabilizer.

After you have plotted the points and created the line (blue) apply a 0.02 contour (outside and 1 step) to the line. Separate, ungroup, delete the center line, and then use the contour shape to trim from the vertical stabilizer.
