Creating Basic Shapes - page 4
To create the pyramid:
Transform the square by using the following; "86.6% Vertical Scale, a -30.0 degree Horizontal Skew, followed by a -30.0 degree Rotate."
Convert to curves (Ctrl+Q), select the Node Edit tool (F10), select the bottom, select all four nodes and use the + command to automatically add a node centered on each side.
Select the triangle with the Pick tool Transform it by applying; "86.6% Horizontal Scale and then a -30.0 degree Vertical Skew."
Turn on Snap to Objects and align the shapes as shown.
Select the straight line pencil tool and draw a triangle by clicking at the following points; top, bottom, left and finish back at the top.
Repeat the procedure for the right side.
Deleting the original objects completes the pyramid.
