Developing the Brakes - page 2
Duplicate and use the Extrusion tool and apply an extrusion to one of each with the following settings: Back parallel, x = 0.00 y=-0.06, VP locked to object and vanishing point relative to object center. The second set gets an extrusion with a 0.18 depth. Separate, ungroup, and render as shown, duplicate, assemble and group each pad assembly together. Rotate back 120.00 degrees to achieve the results shown.
The post, which connect to the pads, will consist of two equal segments. We need to place the cross post in the middle. Create a 0.25 inch circle. Convert it into curves (Ctrl+Q) and use the Transform Docker to apply a 56.6 percent vertical scale. Use the Extrusion tool and apply an extrusion with the following settings: Back parallel, x = 0.00 y=-0.42, VP locked to object and vanishing point relative to object center. Rotate 120.00 degrees, separate, and render as shown and then group.
The cross post consists of two distinct parts but they are on two different projections for the front/rear. Create two circles of 0.325 and 0.50 inches diameter and convert to curves. Duplicate both circles and apply a 65 percent vertical stretch for front set. Go back to the original set and apply a 10 percent vertical stretch for the rear set.
