Creating Basic Shapes - page 11
A sphere will be round no matter what projection scheme is used or how it is viewed. Simply draw a perfect circle by selecting the Ellipse Tool(F7), holding down the constrain key (Ctrl), dragging the circle across the page.
To render the sphere:
Select the circle and choose Fountain Fill (F11), Radial Fill, and choose the following:
Custom, Position 0 = Ruby Red, Position 30 = Red, Position 100 = Magenta 70 percent, Horizontal offset = -12, Vertical offset = 7, Edge pad = 15
Congratulations you made it! I know this was a long lesson but by giving you all the basic shapes I can move at full steam with coming lessons. Next up - three types of isometric gears - Spur, Helical and Bevel.
