Bike Cranks and Pedals
-
page 5
|
 |
The pedal is made up of: 2 End Plates, 1 Axel, and 2
rubber blocks. To construct the End Plates draw the following shapes:
square 0.875 inches with rounded corners (20 on the toolbar), rectangle
3.00 inches wide by 0.62 high, three circles with diameters of: 0.875,
0.25, and 0.125 inches respectively. |
 |
- Duplicate
the square and smallest circle and arrange the components
approximately as shown. Center objects horizontally, left or right
as needed.
- Align
everything vertically centered.
- Weld
together all the outside shapes then combine the center holes.
|
 |
- Convert
this object to an isometric front by applying the following from the
Transform Docker. 86.6 horizontal scale and a –30.00 degree
vertical skew.
- Next
apply a –120 degree rotation.
- Use
the Extrusion tool and apply an extrusion with the following
settings: Back parallel, x = 0.00 y=-0.060, VP locked to object and
vanishing point relative to object center.
- Apply
a 120-degree rotation and then separate, break apart, ungroup and
render as shown. Group together and set aside.
