Transforming Object 2

Since these objects are rotated down (more open) you need to apply a modification of the standard formulas. Apply the following: Vertical stretch 90 percent. Horizontal skew 34 degrees, Rotate 30 degrees and fill with white.

Creating Object 3

This lever sits inside a 1 inch high by 2 inch wide rectangle. The basic thickness is 0.25 inches. Use the freehand pencil tool (A) and the node edit tool to create the shape shown (B).

Transforming Object 3

  1. Duplicate and apply a horizontal mirror to this lever. This object sits on axis and you will need to apply the following from the Transform Docker: 86.6 horizontal scale and a 30.00 degree vertical skew.
  2. Rotate both objects 120.00 degrees fill with white and use the Extrusion tool to apply an extrusion to each of the levers with the following settings: Back parallel, x = 0.00 y=-0.5, VP locked to object and vanishing point relative to object center.
  3. Separate and ungroup the extrusions and use the node edit tool to taper each of the levers.
  4. Rotate back –120 degrees and group (Ctrl+G) each lever together.
