Isometric Ellipse Lesson - page 2
Activate the node edit tool (F10) and select the ellipse. Notice that you have one node on the ellipse. Although this ellipse looks great a proper isometric ellipse needs more information.
Adding nodes on the major/minor axis's:
Delete the ellipse and create another duplicate (Ctrl+D) of the circle. Convert it to curves (Ctrl+Q) and note that there are now four nodes. Create an isometric ellipse by applying a vertical scale of 57.4% from the Transform Roll-Up. Now nodes exist at the major and minor axis’s. Converting to curves allows easier construction of a cylinder. Although this ellipse still looks great a proper isometric ellipse needs even more information.
Adding nodes on the all axis's:
Delete the ellipse again and duplicate (Ctrl+D) the original circle again. Convert it to curves (Ctrl+Q) again. Switch to the node edit tool (F10) and marquee select all four nodes. Now use the Node Edit Roll-Up (Ctrl+F10) to add nodes [the plus sign].
