Step 04
Combine the hole and thread ellipses duplicate and set aside.
Break apart the nut and select the threaded hole combination and the hex
nut ellipse and center horizontally and vertically. Complete by
combining Ctrl+L) everything.

Step 05
The Self-Locking Nut – Top View
- Get
a copy of the pan head primitive, resize it to 6.75 inches
horizontally using the Property Bar with the lock on. Break apart
the hex nut and stack the components as shown. Be sure to center
everything with top of the hex head.
- Assemble
the components as shown.
- Delete
the ellipse on top of the nut and then use the Trim command to edit
the overlapped nut. Complete by combining Ctrl+L) everything.

Step 06
The Self-Locking Nut – Bottom View
- Get
copies of the hex nut and bottom view of the pan head screw. Resize
the Pan head to 6.75 inches horizontally using the Property Bar with
the lock on. Position as shown.
- Break
everything apart and delete the ellipse on top of the pan head. Trim
the overlap. Complete by combining Ctrl+L) everything.
