Rendering Complex Objects - page 6
Create a rectangle about 1.6 inches wide by 0.7 high and round the corners to 0.125 inches and convert to curves (Ctrl+Q). From the menu bar apply and isometric side effect followed be a rotation of 120 degrees using the Transform Roll-up. Finally position as shown (yellow outline) and bring the antenna to the front with the Arrange Menu.
Use the Transform Roll-up to apply a 20% horizontal and vertical reduction to a duplicate of the rectangle. The smaller rectangle needs it’s length extended. Select it with the Node Edit Tool (F10) and drag the outside nodes left of right to achieve the result shown by the red outline.
Fill the larger rectangle with C=5, M=2, Y=0, K=80 with no outline. Fill the smaller rectangle with C=5, M=2, Y=0, K=60 with no outline. Shift click select both rectangles and apply a blend with 20 steps.
