step03.jpg (10276 bytes) The Station 117.375 rib is 3.50 inches wide. Duplicate the rib and use the Property to subtract the width (0.14 at our scale). Group, use the IsoEval or Isometric Menu to apply a front effect and fill with white. Use the same 165.00 Waterline we have been using throughout but since the top of the aircraft starts to drop a bit faster drag it down until it is slightly above the Station 136.50 rib. Ungroup and combine.

  1. To simulate that select this rib with the node edit tool and select the right side and top nodes and hit the plus sign on the Node edit Roll-up 3 times for a total of eighteen nodes.
  2. Select the nodes shown in red and cusp them.
  3. Delete the nodes between the cusped sections.
  4. Select the segments and convert to a straight line. Duplicate the rib and set aside to help construct the next rib.
