Duplicate the symbol (Ctrl+D) and resize it manually using a corner handle using the side [blue] layer as a guide. Use the node edit tool (F10) to constrain (Ctrl) drag up the bottom nodes to about the correct depth. Shift click select the original symbol and align (Ctrl+A) horizontally. Move the smaller symbol into the correct vertical position using the side [blue] layer for reference. | |
Change the size of the Symbol Roll-Up to 0.6 inch and drag symbol #36 to an open area and fill with white and break apart (Ctrl+K). Zoom (F2) in. OOPS something is wrong! Select the outside shape of the screw head and send it to the back (Shift+Page Down). Shift click select the drive hole and repeat (Ctrl+R). Marquee select all of the symbol parts and group (Ctrl+G). Finally position over one of the screws indicated on the side [blue] layer guide. Duplicate (Ctrl+D) the symbol and position over each of the three remaining positions. | |
Change the size of the Symbol Roll-Up to 1.8 inch and drag symbol #37 to line up the bottom of this symbol with the side [blue] guide. Shift click select one of the cylinder symbols and align (Ctrl+A) horizontally. Click off and then select the worm gear with the node edit tool (F10). Marquee select all of the nodes except the 5 bottom nodes and constrain (Ctrl) drag up to the position shown on the top [green] layer. Fill with white, Break apart (Ctrl+K) and reverse the order of the objects using the Arrange menu - order command and then group (Ctrl+G) the symbol. Delete the Top, Side and Front layers, marquee select the completed motor, group (Ctrl+G) and rotate 240 degrees using the Transform Roll-Up. WOW! Nobody told me it could be this easy. Note: There are some hidden objects that can be deleted to reduce file size. Your choice. Save the file as motor.cdr |
